According to various sources online and an article from the Sunday Mirror, Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment may be on the verge of purchasing Leeds United Football Club. The once former Premier League club has had a terrible run of luck over the last few seasons, and has slipped down the table to League 1, essentially the 3rd division. The club does have a large loyal fan base, and excellent Premier League quality facilities, and with the money invested in the club by a big company like MLSE, could join the big boys in the Premier League quickly. If that were the case, MLSE would control a strong Premier League club with massive appeal to build on.
